Can Oil Seals Withstand Pressure?

Commonly available oil seals can withstand a pressure of 0.5 bar, which is sufficient for general rotating-shaft applications. Special oil seals are also manufactured for higher-pressure applications. Before ordering, clearly explain the operating conditions to your supplier.
