Understanding Glass-Filled PTFE

The glass used in PTFE+GLASS materials for seals and components comes in various grades, depending on the manufacturer and country of origin. If impure glass is used, it may contaminate chemicals in applications involving chemical exposure. One indication described here is colour: PTFE containing pure glass has an off-white appearance, while PTFE containing impure glass appears grey.
